Showcasing many of the new 2020 motorhomes and caravans, the Motorhome and Caravan Show, at the NEC in Birmingham, is one of the places to go if you’re thinking of buying a caravan.
So we went again this year, to see what the manufacturers and dealers had to offer, but avoiding the camping in the gravel car park this time!
It cost £9.50 + £1.25 to get in, which isn’t too bad if you’ve got the legs to walk around it and you don’t mind being weaving your way through crowds of people walking in and out of motorhomes.
It’s a big event and some of the bigger stands by the larger manufacturers such as Swift and Bailey seemed to take up a whole hall. In some parts there seemed to be wall-to-wall motorhomes, which meant navigating the bigger stands somewhere difficult.
On some stands, dealers had created a little maze that ended up directing you to a group of salespeople in the centre – so you had no way out, without turning back.
We enjoyed it though and was good to catch up with a couple of people in the industry. There was a few launches, and even a Lego caravan, although it wasn’t too habitable.
